Technical Requirements
It is recommended your computer’s operating system is equal to or newer than Windows 7 or Mac OS 10.6. You will also need high speed internet service with a minimum bandwidth speed of 10 mbps to access your course materials. Questions? Contact the Help Desk at helpdesk@pfw.edu or 260-481-6030.
Online courses at Purdue University Fort Wayne are contained within a course management system called Brightspace. You can log in from here or through your goPFW account. See details and tutorials below.
Brightspace
Brightspace will connect you with your course information and assignments. You will need a user ID and password to access your Brightspace course. The credentials to log-in are the same as your goPFW ID and password.

Course Information
If you are a new student, you will need to activate your goPFW student account and know your nine-digit student ID number. Please note that your Brightspace course will be available on the first day of the semester. Check your PFW email account regularly, especially at the start of a new semester, for updates and communication from your instructors.
Here’s how you can see
- Go to browse courses.
- Select your term.
- Select Purdue Fort Wayne Internet Classes (using the Location drop-down box).
- Select
View Class Schedule. - Select the linked CRN (course number).
Books
To find your textbook information, select the course title on the class schedule. You can order your textbooks through the Mastodon Campus Store at 260-483-6100, or going to the Bookstore. Please allow two weeks for delivery.
